Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Luis Rosario #1304 Race: 2025 VR Zion Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Consistent Pace with a Spirited Finish Luis showcased his ability to maintain a steady pace throughout the 2025 Vacation Races | Zion Half Marathon. He clocked a time of 1:39:53, translating to an impressive average pace of 7:37 min/mile. Starting strong, Luis maintained close splits for the first 8 miles, pushing through with steady times between 7:13 to 7:35 min/mile. By mile 9, the pace slightly adjusted, but Luis finished with encouraging speeds at 7:26 and 7:19 min/mile for the final miles. He stood 16th overall out of 1,404 participants and secured a commendable 4th place in his Masters Division. A positive highlight was his ability to regain speed after a dip in pace around mile 11, showcasing determination and resilience. To keep that end kick going even stronger, a focus on managing pace shifts from miles 8 to 11 might be beneficial. Overall, Luis's consistent pacing demonstrates solid preparation and an admirable dedication to the race. Well done, Luis!
