Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Krzysztof Antos #1431 Race: 2025 VR Zion Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Consistent Performance Reflects Strength and Experience! Krzysztof from Palos Hills, IL demonstrated an impressive display of consistent pacing throughout his half marathon at the 2025 Vacation Races | Zion. With an overall place of 11th out of 1404 participants, Krzysztof maintained steady splits from the get-go. Starting with a strong first mile at 7:16 min/mile, he quickly settled into a reliable pace, averaging 7:22 min/mile over the entire 13.1 miles. Notably, Krzysztof finished as the 2nd in his M Masters division and 9th among the male participants, highlighting his competitive spirit. There were moments of brilliance, such as the 10th mile split with an invigorating pace of 7:04 min/mile. Krzysztof's ability to regain momentum after the 11th mile split of 8:01 min/mile shows resilience. Focusing on consistent pacing will further refine that resilience. By maintaining this consistency in his splits and perhaps picking up the pace slightly during the critical miles, Krzysztof could enhance his future race performances even more!
