Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Elizabeth O'Driscoll #1676 Race: 2025 VR Zion Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Elizabeth's Blistering Heights Elizabeth O'Driscoll sure did dance her way through that 2025 Vacation Races Zion half marathon like a graceful swan wearing sneakers! Starting strong with a 7:40 mile, she quickly picked up the pace at the second mile with a 7:27 split. That gave her the top spot in her division for most of the race. It's like watching a roller coaster that's just hitting its stride. She held her pace through the majority of the race, hanging around the 7:36 to 7:41 range. Consistency sure is key, and Elizabeth had it in spades! Towards those last flickers of the race, she showed her mettle, charging the final mile in a cool 7:20, like a sprinter to a tape! Ending with an average pace of 7:37 per mile, she claimed a fantastic fourth in her gender, basking in the applause of her 1404 competitors. Keep running, Elizabeth, because you're only getting better!
