Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Julian Tarazi #1701 Race: 2025 VR Zion Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Consistent as Sunshine in Zion Julian Tarazi from Los Angeles had a solid performance at the 2025 Vacation Races | Zion Half Marathon. His pacing was commendably consistent, maintaining an average pace of 8:09 min/mile. He started strong at an 8:06 min/mile and kept a steady rhythm throughout most of the race. Impressively, ten miles were within an 8:00-8:09 min/mile range, illustrating a well-planned race strategy. Julian finished 45th overall out of 1,404 participants and 9th in his division (M25-29). The split between miles 1 to 13 showcases a controlled pace, with particular improvements around mile 10, clocking in at 7:58. Although there was a slight slowdown around miles 11 (8:46) and 12 (8:08), Julian’s finish was strong. He could work on tightening the pacing even more in those slower segments, but overall, it’s a performance to be proud of! Keep that consistency rolling, Julian!
