Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Steady as She Goes with a Strong Finish Kendall Nicholas, the spirited runner from Encinitas, California, demonstrated remarkable consistency in the 2025 Vacation Races | Zion Half Marathon. Throughout the 13.1-mile course, she maintained a steady pace, averaging 10:28 min/mile. Kendall started strong with her first mile at 10:04 min/mile. Despite a brief slow down in the 11th mile at 11:08 min/mile, she picked up the pace to finish her last mile at a sharp 10:00 min/mile. That's kicking it up a notch in the final stretch! Kendall's overall performance was notable, securing 17th in her division (F20-24) out of 1404 participants. Most of her splits saw her maintaining or slightly improving her position, showcasing her determination and ability to push through. She ended strong, moving up the ranks to finish 374th overall, and 187th female. An improvement in pacing consistency could help Kendall maintain energy through the latter miles. Well done, Kendall!
