Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Brianna Breimayer #1815 Race: 2025 VR Zion Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Brianna's Unwavering Consistency: A Half Marathon Triumph Brianna crossed the half marathon finish line in an impressive 1:35:03, maintaining a remarkable pace of 7:15 minutes per mile. For most of the race, Brianna dominated her gender and division, holding the first position from miles one through ten. She finished as the second female overall in a total field of 1,404 participants, demonstrating her commendable ability to remain at the top. From the starting line, Brianna charged in with a determined 6:53 mile and consistently held an impressive pace under 7:10 minutes for most of the race. Although the last three miles saw a slight uptick, with splits of 7:44 on mile thirteen, this consistently high-speed performance solidified her spot as a top contender. Brianna’s persistence is evident, and focusing on sustaining her early pace through to the finish could further amplify her success in future races. Keep that bright spirit, Brianna!
