Consistent Top Division Performance Cortez Gilliam delivered a steady performance at the 2025 Pearland Half Marathon. Maintaining a consistent pace throughout, Cortez completed the 13.1-mile course in 1:28:58, averaging a pace of 6:47 min/mile. In the split analysis, Cortez's fastest split was a 6:21 min/mile during the second mile, showcasing a strong early pace. From mile three onwards, he maintained a consistent position of 5th overall and 4th in gender among men across splits. Excelling in his age category, Cortez secured the 1st place spot in the M30-39 division. His performance against 260 participants highlights his capability in maintaining strong endurance across all segments. While the overall pace softened slightly in the latter miles, Cortez's performance remained steadfast. Continuing to work on maintaining peak speeds in the final miles could enhance future results even further. Great job on a disciplined race, Cortez!
