Consistent Effort with Impressive Splits William maintained a consistent pace throughout the Pearland Half Marathon. He impressed early on, securing the 5th position in his gender by the first mile, with a swift pace of 6:44 min/mile. Notably, the second mile was his fastest, clocking in at 6:15 min/mile, momentarily placing him third overall. William's pacing was commendable as he adjusted slightly with each mile, completing the race with an overall pace of 7:06 min/mile. Particularly noteworthy is his performance across age divisions. He held a strong position, leading his M40-49 age group from miles seven through ten. By the final stretch, he achieved a time of 1:33:09, securing 4th place in his division. Strategically maintaining his tempo helped him stay within the top ranks, with the potential to capitalize on earlier acceleration. Focusing on stamina towards the latter miles could enhance his overall performance in future races.
