Consistent Pacing Leads to Top Finish Grace Pugh delivered an impressive performance at the 2025 Pearland Half Marathon 10K event. Demonstrating excellent consistency, her pacing varied slightly, with each mile averaging around the low 8-minute mark. She started strong with an 8:34 min/mile pace for the first mile and steadily increased her speed, finishing mile four with her fastest split at 7:37 min/mile. Maintaining a steady cadence throughout the race, she secured a final time of 49:13, achieving an average pace of 7:56 min/mile. Grace placed 7th overall out of 189 participants, illustrating her strong showing among a diverse group of competitors. Impressively, she ranked 3rd in her gender and category while showcasing remarkable late-race speed. Her performance in the F20-29 division was particularly noteworthy, as she consistently led her category. Going forward, Grace might focus on slightly accelerating earlier, given how well she handled the latter part of the race.
