Consistent Pacing and Strong Division Finish Jeff Burch from Pearland, TX delivered a remarkable performance in the 2025 Pearland Half Marathon, completing 13.1 miles in 1:26:54 with an average pace of 6:38 min/mile. Jeff excelled in the Masters 40+ division, securing the top spot right from the first mile and maintaining it consistently. He finished strong with a solid position overall, clinching 4th in the entire event out of 260 participants. Notably, Jeff also achieved a 3rd place finish within his gender category. His pacing was impressively consistent. The initial mile was completed in 6:43, but Jeff quickly found a quicker rhythm, clocking in a 6:20 split by the second mile. His fastest split was mile 8 at 6:18. Although he slightly slowed to a 7:01 pace in mile 12, Jeff recovered well to finish strong. Continuing to work on maintaining the pace toward the end could be beneficial in future races.
