Consistent Pace Achieves Top Division Finish Matthew Bowling delivered a strong performance at the 2025 Pearland Half Marathon 5K event, showcasing impressive speed and consistency throughout the race. His final time was 20:01 with an average pace of 6:27 per mile. Matthew maintained his top position in the M20-29 division across all splits, demonstrating tactical race management. He achieved an exceptional division rank, securing 1st place, and finished 5th overall out of 271 competitors. Analyzing his split breakdown: Matthew clocked 6:40 for the first mile, accelerated to 6:12 for the second mile, and completed the final mile in 6:38. Though the third mile was slightly slower, his overall timing and pacing allowed solidification of his division lead. Maintaining the early momentum during the third split could decrease his overall time even further. Continuing to focus on maintaining pace could be beneficial for upcoming events.
