Strong Finish and Excellent Category Win in the 5K Carlos Salazar delivered an impressive performance at the 2025 Pearland Half Marathon's 5K event. His overall time of 20:12 translates into an average pace of 6:31 minutes per mile over the 3.1-mile distance. Particularly noteworthy is his consistent performance, as he secured first place in his division (M15-19). His first split at 6:32 pace showed a strong start, with him placing third overall initially. Throughout the race, Carlos demonstrated strategic pacing. His fastest split came in the second mile at 6:14. Despite a slightly slower final split of 6:59, he managed to finish strongly, maintaining first place in his division. While Carlos descended in positions overall and within his gender placements, he showed excellent control and determination. Going forward, considering a more balanced pacing strategy may help to maintain momentum in the later stages of the race. Keep up the excellent form, Carlos!
