Steady Pace with a Strong Finish Jay Lopez participated in the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach Half Marathon, completing it with a final time of 1:48:44. His average pace for the race was 8:18 min/mile. Although Jay started at a pace of 8:35 min/mile, he demonstrated remarkable consistency and improvement throughout the race, eventually finishing stronger with a split pace of 7:58 min/mile in the last mile. Jay performed well in his age division (M35-39), finishing in 36th place out of the participants in this category. His strategic acceleration, especially noticeable in the second half of the race, contributed to his solid finish. Jay can continue to develop his endurance and pacing strategy. His performance shows a consistent improvement in his pacing that he can capitalize on in future races.
