Consistent Pace Secures Top Performance Alan Alvidrez delivered a remarkable performance at the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach Half Marathon. With an average pace of 7:13 min/mile, he covered the 13.1 miles in 1:34:32, finishing 80th overall out of 1,697 participants. Notably, he steadily improved his position throughout the race, ultimately securing 64th in his gender and 10th in his M25-29 division. Alan's pacing strategy was effective, with consistent splits mostly hovering around the 7:10 to 7:30 min/mile mark, which peaked with a final mile pace of 6:49 min/mile. His ability to maintain and slightly improve pace in the later stages is commendable. Participating with the Rolling Cerros Run Club, Alan's race demonstrates excellent execution of pacing strategies with visible speed up in the latter half. For future races, consider maintaining a fast start pace consistently, building upon the strong finish for even better placement.
