Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish Brenna Shaw maintained a commendable performance at the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach Half Marathon, finishing 13.1 miles with an overall time of 2:06:05. Starting with an initial pace of 10:46 min/mile, she strategically improved her average pace to 9:37 min/mile by the end. Notably, her split time at mile 9 was particularly swift at an 8:12 min/mile pace. Brenna demonstrated tactical progress, minimizing her time per mile effectively as the race went on. In the field of 1697 participants, Brenna placed 693rd overall and secured an impressive 26th in her F40-44 division. She showed consistent effort throughout the race, particularly gaining momentum in the second half. Her pacing strategy allowed for a strong finish, a testament to her experiences with the Skidrowrunningclub. Continuing to develop this late-race acceleration could further enhance her future performances. Consistency was her strength, with room to hone these later-race fast splits even more.
