Consistent Performance with a Strong Finish Sandra showcased remarkable consistency in her race pace throughout the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach Marathon. Her average pace was 7:44 min/mile, and she completed the 26.2-mile distance in 3:22:53. Notably, Sandra maintained steady splits, with noticeable speed improvements midway through the race. At mile 5, she accelerated from her early pace of 8:02 min/mile to 7:27 min/mile, sustaining this improved pace for several miles. Sandra's standout performance placed her 19th in the F30-34 division out of a competitive field. Highlights included mile 4 with her fastest pace of 7:51 min/mile and consistently holding her own in her age and gender categories. Keeping her pace nearly constant towards the end demonstrates her endurance and strategic pacing. To enhance her performance, focusing on maintaining her strong pace in the later miles could lead to further improvement. Well done representing the Run Free Running Club!
