Steady Dominance in the Division Joseph Emmerling delivered a consistent and formidable performance in the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach Half Marathon, maintaining a steady pace across the race. His overall elapsed time was 1:15:58, clinching the first place in the M35-39 division. Starting strongly, Joseph clocked the first mile in 5:38, setting a solid pace for the race. Throughout the course, Joseph maintained an impressive average pace of 5:47 min/mile, holding his position at 6th overall and 6th in the male category out of 1,697 total participants. Notably, Joseph's strongest split was at the 3rd mile, clocking it in 5:31. While his pace slightly decreased in the latter part of the race, he managed to stabilize from miles 8 to 13, maintaining under a 6-minute mile pace. A focus area for the future could be reducing the mid-race deceleration, particularly at the 11th mile split, which recorded a 6:16 min/mile pace.
