Consistent Early Pace, Strategic Finish Genevieve Ostrander participated in the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach Marathon. She maintained an impressive steady pace over the first half of the race, keeping each mile very consistent. Up to mile 10, Genevieve sustained a pace close to 10:00 min/mile, showing a strong performance. The second half saw a gradual slowing, with splits increasing slightly in pace. Notably, miles 20 to 25 saw an increase in split pace, topping at 16:32 min/mile on the final mile. Overall, Genevieve’s completion time was 5:15:53, averaging 12:03 min/mile. For future races, working on maintaining that strong consistent pace through later miles could reduce deceleration at the end.
