Consistent Pacing with Steady Progress Danyel Hernandez, representing the team "No Chaser," completed the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach Half Marathon in 2:17:11, maintaining an overall pace of 10:28 min/mile. Throughout the race, Danyel displayed consistency, starting with a 10:18 min/mile pace at the first mile and finishing strong with a similar overall pace. There was notable improvement between miles 1 to 4, where the split pace improved progressively from 10:18 to 9:54 min/mile, indicating effective energy management in the early stages. Although some slowing occurred after mile 5, with a split pace of 13:03 min/mile during mile 6, recovery was evident as he returned to a sub-10:30 pace over subsequent miles. By focusing on sustaining a smoother pace after mid-race, Danyel can avoid such drastic pace changes in future races. Overall, his performance remained solid, consistently placing in the top half of participants within his age group throughout the event.
