Richie's Consistent Pacing Secures Top Division Finish Richie maintained an impressive and consistent pace throughout the Mountains 2 Beach Half Marathon, completing the race in 1:16:46 with an average pace of 5:51 min/mile. His performance was marked by a strong start, with his fastest split at 5:43 min/mile between miles 4 and 5 and again between miles 10 and 11. Notably, this consistent speed earned him a remarkable first-place finish in the M45-49 division. Richie's splits show his ability to maintain a steady rhythm, rarely deviating more than a few seconds per mile. Even with a slight slowdown to a 6:12 min/mile pace on the 11th mile, he quickly regained his pace and finished strong. Overall, he placed 7th out of 1697 participants, demonstrating not only endurance but also strategic pacing.
