Consistent Mid-Pack Performance Astrid dAlton, a 23-year-old from Ventura, CA, completed the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach Half Marathon with a total time of 2:28:09, achieving an average pace of 11:18 min/mile over the 13.1-mile race. Her performance saw steady pacing, with slight increases in pace during some intervals. Notably, Astrid maintained a sub-11:00 min/mile pace during mile 1 and again near the end, in mile 13, clocking in at 10:19 for that final mile. Amidst a field of 1,697 participants, Astrid placed 1104th overall, and 592nd among female competitors. While her pace dipped slightly in the mid-race segments, her ability to quicken in mile 13, after a consistent pace curve, is commendable. Astrid can focus on maintaining speed through the mid segments, possibly reducing the slower split times observed in miles 5 and 7, to enhance her performance in future races.
