Consistent Progress with Strong Finish Kathleen maintained a remarkably consistent pace throughout the race, completing the 13.1 miles of the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach Half Marathon in 2:17:05 with an average pace of 10:27 min/mile. Despite fluctuations in placement, she showed great persistence, finishing with small peaks in pace in her final miles. Her split paces varied slightly, ranging from 10:15 to 10:48 min/mile, with most splits close to her average pace. Notably, Kathleen exhibited efficiency in her final kick, achieving her fastest split of the race in the last mile at 10:15 min/mile and maintaining a strong pace throughout. Among 1,697 total participants, she placed 914th overall and 87th in her division (F25-29). As a member of the Conejo Valley Run Club, Kathleen’s disciplined approach can be seen as an asset to her team. Continuing to fine-tune her pacing strategy might yield even stronger performances.
