Consistent Performance and Division Dominance James Thompson showcased impressive consistency throughout the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach 10K. Starting with a pace of 8:14 min/mile for the first mile, James displayed remarkable improvement as the race progressed, dropping his pace to 7:07 min/mile by the third mile. He maintained a steady rhythm from the fourth mile through to the finish, averaging a final race pace of 7:49 min/mile. Notably, James secured first place in his division (M40-44) at every split point, finishing the race holding this division title. His final time was 48:28, landing him 17th overall out of 340 participants and 12th among males, showcasing strong competition in his gender category. While his pace varied slightly, the gradual increase in pace during the middle portion showed effective energy distribution. Continuing to focus on pacing strategy will enhance these already commendable results.
