Consistent Splits with Late Slowdown Claire's performance in the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach Half Marathon displayed notable consistency throughout most of the race. She maintained a steady pace, averaging between 9:00-9:30 minutes per mile for the first nine miles. Her best split appeared at mile 4, clocking in at 9:01 min/mile. A commendable mid-race decision led to improved placing, where her overall position surged from 663 to 518 by mile 3. Towards the latter part of the race, Claire's pace decreased. Mile 10 marked the most significant dip, reaching a pace of 10:42 min/mile. This drop slightly affected her standings, but she held a strong position within her age group. Ending with an elapsed time of 2:06:35, Claire showed potential for enhanced endurance in the closing miles. Focusing on maintaining consistent pacing from the start could prove beneficial for future races.
