Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish Hiroki maintained an admirable average pace of 5:48 min/mile throughout the marathon. He started strong with a consistent 5:46 min/mile pace for the first three miles, while his speed produced a fantastic split of 5:28 min/mile during miles 11 to 13. His ability to hold the lead in his division for the majority of the race showcases his endurance and strategic pacing. Despite a slight decrease in speed in the final miles, where his pace increased to 6:42 min/mile at mile 24 and peaked at 7:11 in mile 26, Hiroki managed to secure an impressive second place overall. By integrating more stamina workouts into his training, he could overcome the deceleration in those critical last miles. Finishing the marathon in 2:32:22 in a large pool of 2277 participants highlights his dedication and competitive spirit. Keep pushing those limits!
