Consistently Improving Split Times in the Half Marathon Brian displayed an impressive ability to improve his pace progressively throughout the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach Half Marathon. Starting with an initial mile split of 9:27 min/mile, Brian managed to not only maintain but slightly improve his pace across each subsequent mile. Notably, his final mile was his fastest, clocking in at 8:25 min/mile, which reflects a strategic and well-paced race execution. In the M65-69 division, Brian successfully placed 6th, highlighting competitive performance amongst peers. His overall time of 1:57:09 and an average pace of 8:56 min/mile placed him 481st overall out of 1,697 participants. Fine-tuning race starts for a consistent strong pace and maintaining mid-race acceleration can further enhance future race performances. His pacing consistency is commendable, particularly the disciplined transitions from early to faster speeds, highlighting robust endurance and race strategy.
