Sustained Pace with a Strong Finish in the Middle Miles Shannon McElvain from Ventura, CA, showcased a commendable performance with consistent pacing in the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach Marathon. She completed the 26.2-mile course with an overall time of 3:58:23 and an average pace of 9:05 minutes per mile. Her splits show a steady decrease in pace, particularly noticeable between miles 9 to 12, where she consistently remained under a 9:00-minute pace, reaching her fastest split at mile 13 with a time of 8:18.
