Consistent Start with a Slower Finish Steve began his race in a strong manner, maintaining a consistent pace under 11:05 minutes per mile for the majority of the race. He completed the first mile in 11:03. Achieving his fastest split in mile 3 at 10:38 min/mile, Steve improved his positioning to 902nd overall, demonstrating his potential for quickness. Noteworthy is his 11:00 min/mile split pace at mile 5, showing consistency. Later in the race, his pace slowed, with mile 11 recorded at 12:32 min/mile and hitting 13:53 min/mile at mile 13. Finishing with an elapsed time of 2:32:20, Steve averaged an 11:37 min/mile pace, placing 77th in his division. His ability to maintain initial, steady splits deserves attention; however, addressing pace reduction in the latter stages could improve overall time. With 1697 participants, Steve finished 1143rd, securing a spot in the top two-thirds of competitors.
