Consistently Strong Performance with Impressive Early Splits Alexander Choy, 29, from Austin, TX, delivered a strong finish in the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach 10K. He completed the race in 39:48, covering the 6.2-mile distance at an average pace of 6:25 min/mile. Notably, Alexander's early race splits set a high standard, with the first three miles completed in 6:33, 6:15, and 6:04, respectively. These early splits show excellent pacing control and endurance. A slight decline in speed was noted between miles four and five, with split times of 6:34 and 6:44, before regaining pace with a solid 6:23 for mile six. Maintaining strong early splits suggests potential to sustain speed longer in future races. Finishing 3rd overall, out of 340 participants, is an excellent achievement.
