Consistent Start with Challenging Finish Lauren started her half marathon with a consistent pace, completing the first mile in 12:09 and holding a similar pace through the first four miles, staying in the range of 12:09 to 12:25 minutes per mile. Her initial pace kept her mid-pack within her division, ranking 118 out of other competitors aged 35-39. These splits show a strong start, demonstrating her ability to maintain a steady and reliable pace early in the race. However, after mile four, there was a gradual decrease in speed as Lauren's pace slowed down, notably between miles seven to 13, where it ranged from 13:16 to 19:52 per mile. By mile 12, her pace had slowed to 18:37, with a further drop to 19:52 in the final mile, suggesting an area to work on for future races. Despite this, finishing the half marathon at 3:15:40 is a commendable effort showing strong determination.
