Consistent Start, Strong Mid-Race Performance Abbigail Bowman maintained a consistent start in the first two miles of the half marathon, pacing at 8:45 min/mile and finishing the first mile with a split time of 8:45. This initial pace resulted in a solid standing of 21st in her division. Her third mile saw an impressive improvement with a faster split time of 8:33. Abbigail's performance maxed her place in the division in the top 21, demonstrating a strong mid-race boost. However, there was a notable fluctuation in her pacing in the latter stages. The 6th mile had the largest drop-off with a 12:19 min/mile split, indicating potential areas for focus in future training. From mile 7 onward, her pace stabilized around the 9-minute mark. Clocking a finish time of 2:03:15 placed her 36th in her division F20-24. Joining "The Masters Mighty Milers" for potential support could enhance her resilience in future races.
