Consistent Early Splits, Later Challenges Oksana demonstrated strong, consistent pacing in the first half of the marathon, maintaining a steady pace between 8:11 and 7:58 min/mile through the initial 12 miles. Notable is her performance improvement from mile 3 to mile 6, where she increased her split speed to 8:02 min/mile or faster, indicating a smart strategy or strong pacing ability. Her strongest split time was at mile 12 with a pace of 7:43, showcasing her potential. In the latter half of the race, her pace slowed slightly, especially from mile 21 onwards, where her splits ranged above 10 minutes per mile. It appears that maintaining the early pace was challenging towards the end, contributing to her overall time of 3:46:23, placing her 35th in her age division out of 35. Some focus on managing pace through the final stretch could be beneficial in future races.
