Steady Early Pacing with Late Challenges Ryan demonstrated a strong start with consistent pacing, staying around 8:42 min/mile for the first two miles. His performance during the first half showed an improvement, hitting an 8:08 min/mile pace by the fifth mile and maintaining around 8:23 min/mile through the halfway mark at mile 13. Ryan's placement around this point was 801st overall and 85th in his division (M25-29). In the latter half of the marathon, slight increases in pace began to show. The splits from miles 21 to 26 revealed pacing challenges, increasing to 9:23 min/mile by mile 21 and reaching 12:37 min/mile by mile 25. Ryan maintained his composure and finished strong with a total time of 3:54:47, placing 95th in his division. Future efforts might focus on maintaining pace in the later stages, specifically after mile 20, to enhance overall finish time further.
