Consistent Start with Late Challenge Zane Thompson demonstrated impressive consistency in his pacing during the early and mid-stages of the race. Notably, his initial splits maintained a steady pace around 7:42 min/mile through mile 3, with a slight increase to 7:31 min/mile by mile 8. A significant highlight was his mile 11 split of 7:09 min/mile, showcasing his endurance and ability to maintain a strong pace. Towards the latter part of the race, Thompson faced a struggle as his pace slowed, with miles 23 through 26 reaching over 11:00 min/mile. Despite this, his overall performance was commendable, achieving an elapsed time of 3:39:41 and covering 26.2 miles at an average pace of 8:23 min/mile.
