Notably, Mark ranked 3rd in his age division (M35-39), highlighting his competitiveness within his peers. Analyzing the splits, there was a noticeable improvement in pace. Starting with an initial mile pace of 8:15, Mark quickly increased his speed to 7:58 in the second mile, and further enhanced it to 7:42 in the final mile.
